Week 4 of the challenge is here!
Here we are on week 4, finally!
At the end of week 3 I was able to power out 25 pushups in my final set, which was my new high. Today I am starting week 4 in column one:
That means I’ll be doing 16, 13, 13, 11, 16. After doing day 3 of week 3 this actually sounds do-able!
The first four sets were pretty easy today. I powered right through them without too much problem. I definitely feel like I’m getting stronger. The last set I was able to get all the way to 22 pushups. Not too shabby! Day two looks to be similar to day three of week 3, so we’ll see how that goes. As time goes on, my confidence is rising though!

Hey there Pete – Thanks for the update on the challenge. I’m actually going to have to restart, as I’ve lost momentum in the last couple of weeks. Thanks for the tip on the IPod as well. Glad I found you via one of your comments on AlmostFit – I’ve added you to my RSS list.
Best,
Metroknow
Thanks – i’m already subscribed to almostfit, enjoy reading your site – although I haven’t commented too much yet. I think your writing is so good I don’t ever feel like I have anything to add!
Hey there Peter – thanks for the kind words. I suppose that some writers out there don’t care much for just a shout out, but I’d love to hear from you even if you don’t feel like you have anything to add – I’ll do the same, here. Best, Metroknow
After you conquer this you should try the 100 hand stand push-ups challenge. HA!
Johns last blog post..My Run: It Only Takes One Good Run
IF I finish the 100 pushups challenge, I’ll think about it (but not for very long). I don’t think I could even do a handstand – let alone a handstand pushup. 🙂
Peters last blog post..Guest Post: Make a better budget!
Hey Pete, good job on those push-ups. I saw that website also. I thought about trying to do it. I am thinking where am I going to fit it in. I am trying to do Power 90x along with 15 other fitness classes that I teach. I really want to tackle those push-ups. I think you have just given me the inspiration. Thanks. Keep Bringing It.
I believe I just got the P90X DVDs, and I’m gonna get into that soon as well.
It can be tough though to try and fit so many different programs together like this!
Hey Pete – awesome job on the push-ups…keep up the great work!
Thought you guys might interested in reading one of the most shocking new studies (it hasn’t even been released yet) out of the Journal of Applied Physiology!
You’ll never work out the same after you read this:

I love Power 90x, Tony really kicks your butt. I have also signed up for his one-on-one DVD and it was the Plyo Legs and dude let me tell you I combined it with the Back routine and it took me about hour and a half and I felt like someone literally beat the crap out of me. It was awesome. I love working the legs.
