If you’re going to be attempting a weight loss regimen and getting fit, you know you’re going to have to start doing some sort of cardiovascular workout. Most often people will use running as their workout of choice, however, it isn’t for everyone. Running can carry some risks along with it, and for some people it’s just not an option. I like spinning, swimming, rowing machine, kettleball, martial arts. There is a lot to get you moving besides the road of death, otherwise known as the treadmill.

I like skipping.
I read somewhere that 10 mins hard skipping is equal to a 30 min jog.
As a long time runner I can tell you running can lose its impact. I started a swimming routine two years ago – didn’t stick but I saw very quick results. Got into Yoga to help the running and fell in love with it. My wife also makes me carry in the groceries if that counts as a workout?
