What Time of Day Do You Exercise?

One thing I’ve been realizing lately is that sometimes it can be hard to find a convenient time to exercise.  We’ve been extremely busy at our house lately, and it always seems like one thing or another comes up to get in the way of my plans to exercise.  I plan on exercising at night around 7 or 8pm, but we’re shopping for a new car and end up spending hours researching the best possible purchase.

Another night we were volunteering and I just didn’t have the time to exercise.

Another night we were hosting a get together at our house.

Life happens, and now I’ve missed 3 out of the last 5 days of exercise.

Finding the time to exercise, and sticking to it can be tough.  I’ve been thinking more and more about trying to get up earlier in the morning, and exercise before going to work.  It seems like it would be more convenient, and plans wouldn’t be as likely to get in the way.  But change is hard, and I like my routine.

Have you had a hard time trying to schedule your workouts?  What time of day do you find works best for you?  Do you just go with the flow and workout whenever the opportunity presents itself?

I used to make a schedule for my workout. But lately, it’s kinda hard to stick to the plan. So many unexpected happen. But…when things go back to normal, i hope i can get back to my schedule.

I learned from an expert in health that exercising at night is bad. The best time to exercise is in the morning. When you eat healthily and exercise regularly, you will find yourself able to wake up earlier. Exercising in the morning will give you more energy and greater appetite for the whole day.

Like you, I would love to be a morning runner but I’m pretty sure that’s never going to happen. My exercises always occur during lunch, after work or later at night (8-9). It is difficult to set up a routine, but once you have one I think it’s important to stick with it.

We have a gym in the office, so right at 5 I’m headed over to the treadmill.

I used to workout in the mornings or during the day, now I workout at about 7 p.m. every night. It doesn’t seem to be hard for me to stick to my schedule, but then again I only workout for a few minutes a day.

I have been working out in the AM lately and I really enjoy it so far. I feel like its a great way to begin my day. It’s also nice to have my workout over with so I can focus on more important tasks.

if i dont work out first thing in the morning, i wont. and the only way i will work out is if i put my sneakers on and then set up my fitbyfun class.
if for some reason, that routine is changed – i know there is no way i will do a class. it just gets swept aside by everythihg. so i do my best to be very rigid about this, have my sneakers on , and so with my coffee i go into the living room and do my thing.

I always exercise in the evening. I have two kids, so I’m very busy with them. But I wait until my little one goes to bed and get on my exercise machine for about 30 minutes.
